MYA K IS HERE

Mya K the bubbling R&B artist from south London found some time in her busy schedule of conquering the world to sit down with The Coact team and speak on what's been going on and what the near future holds.

Q. What's your name?

  1.  Hi, my name is Mya K.

Q. Where are you from?

  1. I am from South London.

Q. And what do you do?

  1. What do I do? Oh, I do a whole bunch of things, but primarily a singer, songwriter and DJ. I can cook a great meal.

Q. Why do you sing?

  1.  I feel like music has healing powers and so it just makes me feel good, like if I'm having a bad day. I just hit a high note. It makes me feel a lot better. Music is kind of my diary, my therapist. I put everything into my music, and I hope that it can have a healing effect on the listeners.

Q. So where do you see yourself in ten years?

  1. I see myself. Hopefully, I will continue to go to school by then. Um, uh, hopefully, hopefully be settled down and just be able to make the wackiest, craziest music and this experiment, because I've already made enough money that, you know, relax and enjoy it.

Q. How would you describe the sound to anyone who has had you before?

  1. I don't know. Each song has its own kind of life and has its own story. And so it depends what what you want to dove into. But the music coming up is very much a doc, R&B.

Q. You smile a lot. What makes me smile and laugh?

  1. Oh, it's hard! I thin, what would make me smile is if someone says, "Hey, do you want to try vegetarian restaurant?"

Q. If you could tell your younger self something, what would it be?

  1. I would say There's no rush. Have faith in God's time. And just there's a lot of things that I have hoped would happen sooner for myself. And then when I grow older and get past that moment, I realise I was already in that moment. So I would say, you know, things will happen, but there's no need to rush, you know, take your time and enjoy the ride.

Q. And finally, what's the dream?

  1. The dream is to always be able to make music,
